This is a dog story about a black poodle who was left at home when her owner went away on holiday.

I recently went away on holiday and had to leave Calypso at home with some friends to look after her. I was gong to Cyprus for a wedding so it wasn’t really a holiday for me, but i did try to make it fun. When I left Calypso, who is now nearly 5 years old, in the capable hands of a couple of poodle lovers so i knew she would be alright.

This video is me getting inside her mind and thinking about how she sees the world from a dog’s perspective.

oh hello I’m a dog

recently

I went on a dog holiday again

it was one of those where I’m not able to plan because I don’t realize I’m going on holiday in the first place

the human suddenly Shake everything up and take me off somewhere

and leave me then they disappear for 10 days or two weeks

I’m used to it by now and I know that they always come back

but this time I was so angry when they did come home that I ate all my food straight away and then barked all night in the garden

occasionally

feels like I’m just a dog and I’ll never get to explore the world myself

I was told that they went to a wedding in a place called Cyprus

thank you it must have been really hot there because they came back a completely different color

much darker than when they left

it must be nice for them to be able to escape all of their responsibilities

I can’t escape my responsibilities as a dog

I still have to look cute all the time

and be a funny dog

so that’s why when they get back I like to give Master a bit of a bite on the hand and wake him up very early in the morning by dropping one of my chicken sticks on his head

anyway that’s my dog diary for this week
